How YOUR Contribution Helps

It’s estimated in 2024 that 780 Saskatchewan women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
A projected 180 women in Saskatchewan will lose their lives from breast cancer each year.

Understanding how breast cancer develops and why it spreads is a key focus of the
Saskatchewan Cancer Agency’s research team.

Last year, 37,000 screening mammograms were provided through the Screening Program for Breast Cancer. It’s the number one diagnosed form of cancer in women, and very treatable if detected early.

Every dollar raised stays in Saskatchewan to support research and find new treatments and programs for breast cancer that help save lives. All money raised will be donated to Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, the fundraising partner of Saskatchewan Cancer Agency.

About C95 Radio Marathon

The C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research began in October of 2000
when C95 Morning Show host, Lisa Rendall, was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Upon Lisa’s stage four diagnosis, her immediate wish was to raise money to support breast cancer research
and find new treatments to help people affected by the disease live longer, healthier lives.
With inspiration from Lisa, the C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research was born.

Lisa passed away on April 13, 2011.
Her legacy lives on today through the C95 Radio Marathon, the people of Saskatchewan and the contributions they make year after year.

Read more about Lisa’s story here.

Since it began, the C95 Radio Marathon has grown to the largest and most successful fundraising event
supporting the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan
all thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters throughout Saskatchewan.
